DOWN TO YOU [2000]
Although the song doesn't appear in the movie, DOWN TO YOU, this movie
soundtrack contains the first single, "Silver Lining," from THE ROCKFORDS
album.
CRADLE WILL ROCK [2000]
This Tim Robbins movie has been described as "His smart and pleasingly
ambitious 'CRADLE WILL ROCK' is not only a lively and fittingly chaotic
look at a time of unprecedented social and political change, it has
made the excitement and ferment of America in the volcanic 1930s its
own." It's a wonderful fit; close your eyes and you'll swear you're
sitting in a prohibition era speakeasy as Ed croons this duet in a 30s
style on "Croon Spoon" with Susan Sarandon.
PETE TOWNSHEND LIVE [1999]
Pete's amazing appearance was recorded live at The House Of Blues, Chicago,
Illinois on August 16, 1998. Ed makes a guest appearance on a bonus
CD included with this album. He's singing with Pete on Magic Bus and
Heart To Hang Onto from the 1997 benefit show for the Maryville Academy
at the House of Blues.
MOM III [1999]
"Pearl Jam along with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Beck,
Beastie Boys, Lit, Smashmouth, Brian Setzer Orchestra with Brian Wilson,
Sir Paul McCartney, Snoop Dogg w/members of Rage Against The Machine,
Chris Isaak and the Butthole Surfers are among the talented and caring
artists contributing tracks to "MOM III," Music For Our Mother Ocean,
a benefit for the Surfrider Foundation. "The Whale Song" is the track
Pearl Jam was gracious enough to bless us with."
NO BOUNDARIES [1999]
NO BOUNDARIES features both "Last Kiss" and "Soldier of Love," released
initially as the 1998 Pearl Jam Fan Club Christmas single. Other artists
appearing on "No Boundaries" and contributing to the cause to help the
refugees of Kosovo are Rage Against The Machine, Alanis Morrisette,
Neil Young, Oasis, KoRn, Black Sabbath, Indigo Girls, Ben Folds Five,
Peter Gabriel, The Wallflowers, Sarah McLachlan, Bush, Tori Amos, and
Jamiroquai.
CALM DOWN JUANITA [1999]
The 6-song release, CALM DOWN JUANITA, by Ty Willman (formerly Green
Apple Quick Step), Kevin Guess, and R. Cole Peterson III Esq., features
some guest appearances...one notably by Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard playing
drums on "Touchin' Myself."
CHICAGO CAB SOUNDTRACK [1998]
This Loosegroove release features two tracks from Pearl Jam: "Who You
Are" from No Code and a never released rarity from the Pearl Jam vault,
"Hard To Imagine." The CHICAGO CAB SOUNDTRACK includes songs by Brad,
Hovercraft and others. The movie can be found at your local video store
now renamed as "Hellcab."
BRIDGE SCHOOL BENEFIT [1997]
is a compilation featuring 15 tracks from various artists who've performed
at the annual Bridge School Benefit Concerts. Pearl Jam's contribution
is an emotional and sweet version of "Nothingman". Other artists include:
Neil Young, Lovemongers, Tom Petty, Bonnie Raitt, Simon & Garfunkel,
Don Henley, David Bowie, Pretenders, Elvis Costello, Beck, Ministry,
Tracy Chapman, Nils Lofgren and Patti Smith.
TIBETAN FREEDOM CONCERT [1997]
The TIBETAN FREEDOM CONCERT triple CD features "Yellow Ledbetter" from
Mike and Eddie's surprise appearance at the June, 1997 Tibetan Freedom
Concert, along with other amazing performances from the two-day event
to raise awareness about the Chinese oppression of Tibet. Performances
from the 1996 Tibetan Freedom Concert in San Francisco are included
on Disc 3.
KEROUAC [1997]
The KEROUAC - KICKS JOY DARKNESS spoken word tribute with music features
Eddie Vedder; backing music by HOVERCRAFT doing Hymn by Jack Kerouac.
TUATARA [1997]
Breaking The Ethers features a Mike McCready guest appearance playing
guitar on "The Getaway," on this all-instrumental album by Tuatara,
a collaboration of friends coming together to express a wide variety
of influences.
PEARLS BEFORE SWINE [1997]
It's African rock with a guest appearance by Jeff playing fretless bass
on this TRIBE AFTER TRIBE release.
WE'RE OUTTA HERE! [1996]
Ed makes an appearance on this Ramones home video/cd set on "Any Way
You Want It" singing with the Ramones in their farewell show at the
Palace on August 6, 1996.
SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK [1996]
Check out "Petster" on SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK...that's Mike McCready on electric
guitar [what else?] on "Electricity, Electricity".
MONKEY ON RICO [1996]
Stone Gossard contributes to this album by THERMADORE, where he plays
on four songs and sings on two ["Pushing and "Anton"].
HOME ALIVE [1996]
HOME ALIVE - THE ART OF SELF DEFENSE is a unique multi-artist project
featuring a host of alternative musicians and spoken-word performers
benefitting the HOME ALIVE organization. Pearl Jam does a great version
of "Leaving Here."
NEW MANSIONS IN SOUND [1996]
On NEW MANSIONS IN SOUND, Eddie contributes harmoniously (even if
he doesn't think so and wanted to buy it back!) to THE FASTBACKS latest
album on the Keith Moon song, "Girls Eyes".
MOM [1996]
Pearl Jam does "Gremmie Out Of Control" on this MOM benefit album
for the Surfrider Foundation, an organization dedicated to the protection
and enhancement of the world's waves and beaches through conservation,
activism, research and education.
HYPE! THE MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK
[1996]
Pearl Jam is featured on HYPE! THE MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK doing
"Not For You," taken from the SELF POLLUTION RADIO broadcast of January
8, 1995. From the liner notes: "they came to Sub Pop with their first
single, and we passed on it for being too commercial. Of course, one
year later we almost went bankrupt...Pearl Jam are the social conscience
of our arena rock nation." MOVIE REVIEW, now out on video.
DUST [1996]
Mike McCready makes a guest appearance on "Dying Days" on this SCREAMING
TREES release.
THE CABLE GUY [1996]
Mike McCready plays on the soundtrack for THE CABLE GUY as part of
$10,000 Gold Chain with members of GREEN APPLE QUICK STEP doing the
Velvet Underground song, "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'."
PAINFUL DAYS [1996]
Ed Vedder is singing a lead vocal on "Passin' Thru" on this Gary Heffern
compilation called PAINFULL DAYS. Ed does one verse, Victoria Williams
another, etc. The song is best described as "country/folk" and you
won't find Ed credited in the liner notes...but there's a credit for
a mysterious Wes C. Addle there...
DEAD MAN WALKING [1996]
Eddie is singing on both of these DEAD MAN WALKING releases. One is
MUSIC INSPIRED BY the movie and the other is the score of the movie.
He sings "Face of Love" and "The Long Road" with World Music artist,
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. [The Score versions are longer.]
BALL-HOG OR TUGBOAT [1995]
Eddie sings & plays guitar on "Against the 70's", on Mike Watt's
album, BALL-HOG OR TUGBOAT. The song has Mike Watt on bass & spiel,
Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) on drums & Krist Novoselic
(Nirvana) on farfisa organ, Gary Lee Conner on lead guitar and Carla
Bozulich singing backup.
THE BASKETBALL DIARIES [1995]
Pearl Jam plays on this movie soundtrack in "Catholic Boy" featuring
Jim Carroll on vocals.
BOB DYLAN'S HIGHWAY 61 INTERACTIVE

BOB DYLAN'S HIGHWAY 61 INTERACTIVE has an interview appearance by
Eddie Vedder discussing Dylan's influence in music.
STONE FREE: A TRIBUTE TO JIMI HENDRIX
[1993]
As M.A.C.C., Jeff Ament and Mike McCready perform with Chris Cornell
and Matt Cameron of Soundgarden. They rock on the great HENDRIX tune:
"Hey Baby [Land of the New Rising Sun]".
BAD RELIGION [1993]
Eddie contributes to the songs, "American Jesus," and "Watch It Die"
on Recipe For Hate.
IN DEFENSE OF ANIMALS [1993]
Pearl Jam contributed "Porch" from Ten to this compilation album in
support of IDA. In Defense Of Animals is a national non-profit organization
dedicated to ending the abuse of animals by protecting their rights,
welfare, and habitats.
JUDGMENT NIGHT [1993]
Pearl Jam & Cypress Hill doing the "Real Thing" on this movie
soundtrack.
SWEET RELIEF [1993]
Pearl Jam does "Crazy Mary", an absolutely beautiful Victoria Williams
song. This original Sweet Relief compilation helped to raise funds
for Victoria's mounting medical bills after she was diagnosed with
MS. All of the artists on it contributed their efforts to a friend
in need.
BOB DYLAN - THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT
COLLECTION [1993]
The All-Music Guide suggests that Neil Young stole the show at the
anniversary tribute in 1993. All we can say is that if Neil didn't,
Eddie Vedder and Mike McCready sure did with an incredible version
of BOB DYLAN'S, "Masters of War" done with a passion the subject deserves.
SINGLES SOUNDTRACK [1992]
Pearl Jam contributed two songs to this amazing soundtrack, "Breath"
and "State of Love and Trust." Jeff, Stone and Ed also appeared in
this Cameron Crowe movie as members of a Seattle band named Citizen
Dick with Matt Dillon
